The Power of Nightmares is a documentary that postulates that politicians, instead of promoting a dream of their constituents, now promise to ‘protect’ them from a nightmarish figure. It does this by tracing the rise of neoconservatism in the US and draws parallels with the emergence of Islamic radicalism. The communist/terrorist juxtaposition is very interesting.
